Writing book animal motif

Writing book with lockstitch stitching - a very strong form of thread stitching borrowed from textile processing, in which the entire contents are stitched and sewn with short hole spacing. Lockstitch stitching, also known as "singe stitching", enables optimum opening.

Recognition is based on identification using certain characteristics. The more comprehensive and detailed the identification, the more reliable and accurate the recognition. Against this background, it becomes understandable why scientific drawing is still so important: by its very nature, it requires a concentrated view of every detail - unlike a photographer, for example, the draughtsman must concentrate on every detail, must not overlook anything in order to grasp the object in its entirety and capture it realistically on paper. This is why, to this day, scientists such as botanists, zoologists and archaeologists still draw in order to capture all the features of the object of their research: drawing as a path to knowledge. And so the motifs on these notebooks and greetings cards - created on the basis of historical drawings from an extensive collection of 18th century prints and prints - make no distinction between fossils and living organisms, between lower and higher stages of development. With the utmost precision and attention to detail, they reproduce without (pre)judgment what was noticed (and thus recognized) on closer inspection.
