Slavic mythology tells of the forest spirit Borowy, who protects forests and game. Coincidence or not, the founding family of Wooden Story is also called Borowy, and under the expert hands of grandfather Borowy, the company's first wooden toy was created in 1969.

Now in its fourth generation, the family business, which has since established itself with its natural wood furniture, is once again manufacturing wooden toys. Wooden Story produces exclusively from FSC®-certified wood of European origin, to which natural pigments lend color. And instead of sealing artificial varnishes, the surface is given a velvety polish with beeswax and vegetable oils, which emphasizes the natural grain of the wood and preserves its special feel.
