The largest living land animals on earth, blessed with an exorbitant memory and equipped with an extremely muscular, highly sensitive trunk that is incredibly agile and can act as delicately as a human's finger: These are probably the first characteristics that come to mind when we think of elephants. Made of solid maple wood, this elephant may not be quite as big as its African brother, but it can stand by your offspring with the same protective instinct that elephants do in their herd. So if you hear a loud thump and an earthquake-like rumble coming from the nursery, your offspring is just roaming the savannah on its way to the next watering hole, and will of course have to pluck some leaves from the trees - an African elephant eats around 150 kilograms of green food every day. Cut from a slice of fine-pored maple wood about three centimeters thick, the design of the figures concentrates so skilfully on the essential characteristics that the animal can already be recognized by its outline. The carefully chamfered edges and the smooth sanding of each wooden figure, which takes place in several work steps, flatter the sense of touch, the painting with fine natural colors allows the grain of the wood to continue to shine through, and the final treatment with an oil once again emphasizes the natural warmth and velvety feel of the natural material.

Animal figures like these literally leave a lot of room for play, challenging your child's imagination to be especially creative.
