Women's padded vest

Combined with a long-sleeved shirt or blouse underneath, this vest is perfect for a layered look. Lanius focuses on functionality and recycling when choosing materials. The outer fabric and lining are made from recycled polyester. This makes the gilet not only very light, but also wind and water repellent. The insulating filling is a vegan down alternative, which is also made from recycled polyester. As it is quilted with chambers, it stays in place permanently. The gilet is closed with a metal zipper, with a wind-repellent panel underneath. Two zippered pockets inserted into the side seam can hold small items for everyday use.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
