Women's blouse with eyelet embroidery

This airy blouse with eyelet embroidery in the tradition of broderie anglaise (French for English embroidery) adds a feminine touch to your outfit. The textile technique originally comes from Eastern Europe, but was particularly popular in England in the 19th century, hence its name. The fabric Lanius uses here features a delicate, openwork pattern of delicately embroidered holes arranged in floral and geometric shapes, creating a subtle transparency. The cotton used comes from controlled organic cultivation. The blouse has a comfortable, cropped fit with a rounded hem. The wide, buttoned pump sleeves and the ruffled sections on the front shoulder and under the back shoulder yoke emphasize the feminine look and ensure a beautiful, soft drape that gently skims the figure.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
