Human in animal form. To send
Wolf Erlbruch, born in 1948 and professor emeritus of illustration at the University of Wuppertal, is not only one of the most important, but also one of the most idiosyncratic German book artists. As the author and illustrator of numerous children's books, he has won many awards, including the "German Youth Literature Prize," and for many years he designed a children's room calendar for the Peter Hammer Verlag. He put masterful depictions of the all-too-human in animal form on the monthly pages. We offer a selection of motifs from his calendars of the last few years here as postcards (currently the safest means of communication, since its content, as one hears, is not systematically evaluated for once). On the basis of masterfully drawn animal figures are human weaknesses, strengths and virtues depicted: from a cat practicing patience, to the athletic pig, which full of joy a package jump (vulgo: ass bomb).

Human characters in animal guise. For sending via post mail.
Born in 1948 Wolf Erlbruch is a professor of illustration at the University of Wuppertal. He is not only one of the most important, but also one of the most unconventional German book artists. The award-winning author and illustrator of numerous children's books not only received the "Deutscher Jugend-Literaturpreis" (German Youth Literature Prize), but each year also designs a children`s room calendar. For this, he arranges brilliant graphics with human characters in animal guise on every monthly page. For the first time we offer a selection of motives from his last years calendars as post cards (as has been said, right now this is the safest medium of communication, as exceptionally its content is not systematically evaluated). The brilliantly painted animal guises depict human weaknesses and strengths ranging from a cat practicing the art of patience to a sportive pig cannonballing joyfully.
