Remainder recycling of a special kind. Our planter box steps the proof that even from scrap wood can still be made something wonderfully practical and at the same time decorative. It consists of oak staves, as they are left in large quantities in the manufacture of wine barrels. The idea came from us, the planter box supplies the manufacturer of our wooden rain barrels.
Rededicated. Barrel staves, cut into a crate
Oak is one of the most durable types of wood. Here it is presented to you in the form of a solid, small planter box for balconies and patios. The Palatinate supplier of the wooden rain barrels in our range manufactures them from wine barrel staves. The signets and lettering of various wineries are branded into the wood as a sign of its usual use and no two planter boxes look the same.
Note:
Due to the high tannic acid content of oak wood, blue-black discoloration can occur on the wood surface in combination with moisture and in contact with ferrous metals. In addition, the so-called tannins can be washed out by rainwater and stain surfaces and adjacent materials.
