Whisky decanter ribbed

Light breaks up to such an extent in the ribs and grooves of pressed glass that you might think it was crystal. But the glass is not even ground; the contours just emerge from the squeezing of the hot glass in the mould. This stable decanter is made of pressed glass.

The light breaks up in the ribs of the glass as if it were crystal, but pressed glass is shaped by squeezing a hot mass of glass into a form, producing this very stable pressed glassware. Even though the ribs have not been polished, the pieces of this assortment make up a respectable cocktail cabinet ensemble, are handsome at the table and do admirable service for an aperitif or a pick-me-up.
