This Santa Claus does not have to squeeze through the chimney to distribute small gifts. Intelligently designed, pleasingly stable and easy to assemble, the small gift basket takes itself out as a real eye-catcher. As table decoration it puts the guests in the right mood for the festive meal, as gift packaging it peps up the souvenir in an appealing way. And against further and multiple use - for example, as a pencil tray or small parts box - we have anyway nothing to object.

The intelligent Werkhaus construction principle is astonishingly simple and needs no tools for assembly. The individual parts used for these smaller products are made of robust, dimensionally stable MDF (medium-density fibreboard), a board material essentially consisting of fine wood fibres, glue and water. Precisely cut with CNC machines, the pieces fit together easily. You connect them by inserting a peg notched on both sides of one panel through a slot in a second panel. Then you fasten the peg with a rubber ring. The resulting lightweight units are astonishingly stable – despite relatively thin walls. While highly practical in use, they tolerate dismantling and reassembling at any time.

Thanks to their precise cutting of the MDF boards and clean machine processing, Werkhaus is able to construct long-lasting products in a small format that would be much more complicated and therefore much more expensive to produce using carpentry methods. We welcome these smaller products as a valuable supplement to the Werkhaus classic office furniture made of HDF boards. Besides, the visible plug-in connections of peg, wedge and rubber rings create a unique design language – even in smaller formats.
