An inventor from the Upper Palatinate invented this useful garden tool: First and foremost, it is a weed cutter that can also be used to tackle really deep-rooted weeds (up to 25 cm). The strong handle made of solid beech wood can be loaded with full strength and body weight so that the ground, cleanly finished blade can be driven far into the ground with little effort.
Multifunctional tool.
The shape of the blade allows you to do other things too: aerate compacted soil, cut through roots, make planting holes for flower bulbs or watering holes for watering tall trees.
Also for fruit tree care.
When it is time to fertilize fruit trees in spring, the tool is also useful for cutting fertilizer holes. The fine suction roots, which are necessary for the absorption of nutrients and water, are not located near the trunk of fruit trees, but in the area of the crown eaves. However, the soil there is usually very compacted or - in a meadow - covered by a closed sward of grass, so that fertilizer applied only superficially would not reach the roots at all.
