The shape of this wall mounted lamp is derived from two basic geometric forms in a striking but simple combination of a spherical glass dome and a cylindrical porcelain base.

These porcelain lamps are manufactured in southern Sweden at Ifö Electric - a company that specialized in ceramic components as early as 1887 and is now one of the leading producers of ceramic fittings.
