This outdoor lamp, equally suitable for wall and ceiling mounting, comes 1. Without protective cage therefore (which is unusual, but offers an unobstructed view of the handsome prismatic glass dome) and holds 2. by means of three fixable feet a certain distance from the ground, which makes it visually reminiscent of a just landed UFO from B-movies of the 1940s.
Italian ship lights. Made of brass
Since Olim's time, these wind- and weather-tested cast brass and glass ship lights have been manufactured at Lake Iseo near Milan, defying heavy weather, salt water and - if equipped with a protective grille - even striking parts at sea. For land-based outdoor applications of any kind, the amazingly affordable lights are thus not only well equipped, but downright overqualified.

This outside lamp for wall or ceiling mounting does not need a protective cage (an unusual feature which offers an unencumbered view of the handsome prismatic glass cover). By means of three mounting feet foot it hovers a discrete distance from the wall or ceiling, which lends the lamp a remarkable resemblance to a UFO from a 1940s B-grade film.
