Virgin wool blanket herringbone

The basically understated herringbone pattern is given a striking twist here, as Tweedmill combines the restrained, darker shades in the weft with a strong golden yellow yarn in the warp, which is why the fringes are also golden yellow. (The manufacturer calls the color mustard, but we think golden yellow is more accurate). The colors change slightly on the surface and have a matt, elegant shimmer. Especially when combined with the shade of green reminiscent of British Racing Green, we had less racing cars in mind and more English country houses and royal drawing rooms (and some also had the well-known chocolate mint tipple, which is recommended to be enjoyed after eight o'clock). So if you want to add a little British flair to your living room, this blanket is certainly a good choice. The pure new wool blanket with its elegant herringbone pattern is therefore ideal for armchairs and sofas, but will of course also keep you warm on cooler evenings on the balcony or patio. Tweedmill weaves it from robust, New Zealand virgin wool, which is obtained in an animal-friendly way, as mulesing is not used in New Zealand.

Since 1971, the Tweedmill weaving mill in Wales, in the county of Flintshire, has been producing home textiles, outdoor blankets and accessories from wool. The range extends from soft tweed made from fine lambswool to traditional tartans and blankets made from New Zealand wool and picnic blankets made from recycled wool. The designs are inspired by the colors of Welsh nature, the forests and the coast, but also surprise with bold tones and unusual color combinations.
