Vase Tide hand decorated
General Information
Porcelain wants sea
The sea and its tides, wind, weather and waves: The design of the native of East Frisia Anna Badur is created in intense engagement with nature. In the Tide vase, too, she contrasts the stoic calm of white porcelain with the fleeting movement of surging waves - in all shades such a clear and impressive contrast that it inevitably draws the eye.
For these porcelain vases, the Berlin-based, multi-award-winning designer collaborates with the Thuringian porcelain manufacturer Kahla. The traditional company, which manufactures in a way that conserves resources as much as possible - for example, by using a process water treatment system and a photovoltaic system - has made a name for itself with its high-quality, fine, pure white hard porcelain. Once the carefully shaped, double-fired (at 900 °C and 1,400 °C) porcelain is out of the kiln, cooled and ready for further processing, Badur and her team skilfully apply the design by hand. This makes each Tide vase a distinctive little one-of-a-kind piece, punctuating the arrangement of your branches and flowers with cobalt blue ripples.
