This blend gets its strength (or as the roaster says: its power) from the strong roast. It is composed of Ethiopian Sidamo and Sigri Estate coffee from Papua New Guinea. The Dinner Coffee has a fine, lively acidity with notes of citrus fruits, dark chocolate and bergamot.

In the coffee roasting house van Gülpen in Emmerich, the oldest family-run roasting house in the world, they have been dedicated to the stimulating drink for six generations. With expertise, the experience of more than 185 years and with enthusiasm, expressive coffee is roasted there. To this day, this is done by hand in a slow and gentle drum roasting process and in small quantities (maximum 60 kg per roasting process - in the industry it is at least 250 kg). Roasted is also not in stock, but fresh daily, and the ordered quantities are delivered to customers within 24 hours.

Basis for all coffee blends from the house of van Gülpen are Ethiopian highland coffees, which due to their top quality largely escaped the price decline of conventional provenances caused by mass production (and which significantly determine the price of van Gülpen coffees). In addition, other coffees of first-class provenances are used in varying proportions. With a lot of flair in the roasting process, it becomes after 12 to 13 minutes in the roaster coffees that are perfectly matched in their aromatic and flavor characteristics.

We offer the coffee blends of van Gülpen as whole beans and ground. The ground coffee with its medium grind is particularly suitable for the hand filter and the "normal" coffee machine. Because the coffee during and shortly after grinding already loses much of its flavor, you achieve the best taste result if you grind it fresh just before preparation.
