Utensils case lambskin

A cosmetics and utensils case for travel should be both: protective packaging for smaller utensils and space-saving travel accessory, which in turn can be safely stowed between clothing and belongings in suitcase or backpack without hurting delicate fabrics or leaving scuffs on smooth surfaces. The applications for this soft case are manifold: shaving utensils, cosmetics or jewelry and cufflinks are safely stored when traveling.
The Hammann fine tailoring manufactures the case from fine, supple lambskin. The interior is lined with soft sheepskin. The narrow frame with its rounded corners and the nickel-plated steel latch are carefully hand-polished. The lid is wood-reinforced and equipped with a mirror (3.5 × 7.5 cm, non-magnifying) on the inside. The firm lid and sturdy frame ensure that the case holds its shape: Soft and adaptable is namely the base. The indication of the height with 4 cm is therefore a maximum, because the case adapts to its contents and can also narrow depending on the filling height.

The “Fine leather goods factory” Franz Hammann based in Offenbach (one of the German centres of leather goods manufacturing) is one of the oldest leather manufacturers in Germany. The family-owned company has been producing high-quality leather goods and travel accessories for five generations. The Hessian leather goods are as sophisticated as they are durable; some models require the use of old special machines. Hammann has decades-old experience in leather crafts, especially in producing leather bags and cases complete with frames and handles. Precise workmanship and high-quality materials play an even more significant role here than in leather crafts anyway. To ensure the quality of its leather products, Hammann produces at its headquarters (and has done so since 1864) while processing exclusively full-grain leather of European origin. Locks and fittings are made in Germany. Here too, the details make the difference: all locks and fittings are milled from solid brass and alloy steel and get polished by hand. You might recognize the mirror-bright surfaces featuring a shine that “drum-polished sheet metal parts” could never give off.
