Unisex toe separator natural fiber

Hardly any footwear is more formally reduced and functionally closer to nature than the toe separator. So why not think along the same lines when it comes to materials? Werner has done just that and, together with designer Laura Ullmann, has created an alternative to conventional plastic models that is convincing in terms of both materials and fashion - the Cocolette. Part of the sole is made of coconut fibers, which are durable, easy to clean and moisture-resistant. They are woven in the Vulkaneifel region by August Schär KG, Germany's only coconut weaving mill. The straps and toe bridge are made of linen, a breathable and durable natural fiber. It doesn't get any more natural than this - and hardly any more robust, as these materials are inherently durable due to their properties. Inspired by the Cradle to Cradle® principle, the Cocolette is also a handmade piece of nature until it is disposed of.

Natural materials, as well as a comfortable feel due to proven fits characterize Werner shoes - in line with the claim of the family business founded in 1911 to produce beautiful and good shoes. What once began with sturdy work and hiking boots developed into the fashionable après-ski boots of the 1970s/80s and finally into today's range of sporty and elegant (leisure) shoes for men and women. Werner also actively pursues new developments in materials. For many years, Werner shoes were made at the company's founding location in Pirmasens, but today the "Steppmäde" and "Zwicker" work in southeastern Europe. The raw materials come from Germany and neighboring European countries, which guarantees a consistently high quality.
