Two-tone terry towel

These towels are the result of our collaboration with the Austrian textile company Framsohn. To bring more color and variety into the bathroom, we had something two-tone in mind - like the double-faced blankets in our range, which have different colored sides. It didn't take much convincing to get Framsohn on board for this project. Our Product Manager was soon able to tap into the weaving mill's rich color palette. The final color selection and combination is also a result of the in-house survey, as everyone involved or interested in textiles, colors and design was able to choose their favorite.

The towels are even more interesting because not just two, but three colors are combined. So the choice is yours. Mix and match all the variants or stick to one combination. Of course, all terry towels are the same in terms of quality and workmanship. Framsohn uses cotton from controlled organic cultivation (kbA) and weaves it with three thread systems, as is usual with real terry towelling. The resulting loops on the surface ensure a generous volume (material weight 540 g/sqm) and a large surface area. This means that the towels can absorb a lot of moisture and feel pleasantly soft on the skin. Each one is woven in the respective width and cross-stitched at the seams, which gives it additional dimensional stability.

Incidentally, Framsohn was so enthusiastic about our idea for these two-tone terry towels that they immediately added them to their own range.

Framsohn, the name stands for Franz Amstetter & Söhne, in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria, is the fourth generation of the family to manufacture high-quality home textiles and terry towelling. The family business has always attached great importance to its connection with nature and the local people. This attitude is reflected in several factors. For example, Framsohn weaves the terry towelling from organic-certified cotton. All production still takes place at the company's original headquarters. This reduces transportation routes, allows continuous quality control from the thread to the finished product and enables Framsohn to directly and immediately influence ecological parameters. To document this, Framsohn has been certified in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This sets high standards for the production of textiles made from organically produced natural fibers - across the entire production chain: from the extraction of textile fibers, through their processing and distribution, to ethical and social criteria. Compliance with the standard is reviewed annually and the GOTS certification is re-awarded.
