Travel bag canvas, green beige

In terms of shape, this travel bag is somewhat reminiscent of the sports bags of the 1970s and 1980s. But this is already the only comparison that can be drawn with the classic models of that time, because in terms of strength (robust fabric), endurance (durability) and technology (processing) our model leaves its competitors (which are mostly made of plastic) far behind. The body is made of durable canvas, a hard-wearing, water-repellent fabric that Christoph Hack developed together with a weaver and which is therefore processed exclusively by Hack Lederware. Woven from half-linen in a very dense, two-thread panama weave, the fabric easily withstands all travel and sports stresses. Sparring partners are strong carrying straps made of 4 mm thick vegetable tanned harness leather, a wide shoulder strap made of linen as well as carabiners and metal fittings.

The canvas travel bag can also hold its own in terms of weight: Unlined, it plays in the lightweight class. The bottom has a stabilizing felt insert on the inside, and all interior seams are carefully hemmed. On the outside, leather applications reinforce the wear-prone side edges - a nice detail: they are worked with contrasting saddle stitch. The undivided interior compartment allows a sporty fast filling, small utensils can be stowed in side leather pockets inside as well as in a zipper pocket outside. Christoph Hack, fine bag maker and founder of Hack Lederware, has been dealing with very different leathers for decades, gaining a wealth of experience that he incorporates into the design of his leather goods. For us, he works exclusively with leather with natural surfaces from Germany, Italy and Scandinavia, but also with similar materials full of character such as canvas or pure wool felt. All designs are created in his Cologne studio, from hard-wearing, functional clothing to simple bags and accessories to some special items such as gym and yoga mats. Manufactured are the products of Hack at the headquarters in Cologne and in a Polish partner company.
