Traffic light wood
General Information
Green Wave? Controllable
It all began in Cleveland, Ohio, where the world's first working electric traffic signal was installed in 1914. The simple traffic signal system did not yet know any traffic light phases - the first three-color traffic lights were introduced in 1920 in New York and in Detroit, Germany followed four years later with a traffic light system at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. However, traffic lights did not become more widespread in our road traffic until after the Second World War. Whether at the street crossing or at the crosswalk - today it is impossible to imagine our streets without the traffic light as a traffic control device.
With this sturdy, solid beech wood traffic light, the child learns in no time what color gives what signal. Red - stop, yellow - get ready to move on, green - and go! And because the green wave is not a matter of course, the offspring is welcome to control the traffic on its play street itself: The traffic light phase is variably adjustable via the pin built into the side.
Playing like a kid. Driving like a big one
Red light? That's where the car has to stop! Turning left? Watch out for oncoming traffic! There's a pedestrian at the crosswalk, we'll let him cross the street first ... With the help of a traffic play street, the meaning of intersections and traffic lights, oncoming traffic and crosswalks can be learned in a playful way. And not to mention the educational value of a play street: Cars simply fascinate children. In their imagination, they can slip into the role of adults and roar across the street, oops, red light, stop! Of course, the passionate driver has to give the car fuel in between - and the events around a gas pump can turn into a real adventure. The car has become dirty - will it fit in the bathtub? But no, it has its own bathroom and drives through the car wash. And it also sleeps not in bed, but in the garage - until it is grabbed again with a hearty driver's grip and once again whizzes across the road.
