Towel waffle piqué half linen white

Towels made from half-linen waffle piqué are ideal for the summer: not as thick as terry towelling, they are nevertheless of quite heavy quality, absorb a lot of moisture but also dry again quickly. Due to the relief-like weave structure - after the first wash, the material still springs in a little and the waffle structure becomes stronger - waffle piqué has a slightly massaging effect when drying, which can stimulate blood circulation in the skin. The pleasantly grainy feel of the fabric is created by using a durable linen yarn in the warp (Nm 13/2). The linen is also pleasantly cooling to the touch. The towels are produced by Leinenweberei Vieböck in the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. The matching bath mats are considerably thicker with a fabric weight of 800 g/sqm - therefore slightly cushioning - and, like the towels, are woven from strong half-linen.

Half linen waffle weave is ideal for the summer. It is not too thick, but still quite heavy and it absorbs plenty of moisture and dries fast. Due to the woven structure – after the first washing, the material will shrink, and the waffle or honeycomb structure will be even more prominent – this weave has a moderate massaging effect when used for drying. The slightly grainy touch of the fabric is the result of the robust linen twine used in the warp. Besides, the linen feels pleasantly cool on the skin.
While made from the same sturdy half linen, the bath mats of the series come with a fabric weight of 800 g per m² and are substantially thicker, giving a somewhat padded feel. The linen mill Vieböck in the Upper Austrian region called Mühlviertel provides us with the towels as well as the mats.
