Tea towel cotton dark blue

This tea towel is classically made from absorbent cotton. Woven in solid full-twist quality (Nm 34/2) and in a tight plain weave, it proves to be a durable workhorse in the kitchen, from drying dishes and pots to covering dough. And as robust as the fabric is, the tea towel is just as hard-wearing thanks to the coloring: stains seem to disappear almost without a trace on the dark blue background - all those who have a lot to do with tomato sauce or beet in the kitchen will appreciate this.

The good reputation of the Mühlviertel weaving trade was already established around 1600 and in many communities, half of the inhabitants earned their income from weaving or related occupations. The raw material used by the weavers was flax, which was widely cultivated in the Mühlviertel at the time. At the time, weaving products were one of Upper Austria's most important exports. Since around 1700, strict quality and control regulations have ensured compliance with high quality standards. Standards that the traditional Vieböck weaving mill still works to today.

We specify the yarn count in Nm (metric number), whereby the higher the number, the finer the yarn. A yarn count of Nm 100 means that 100 meters of yarn weigh 1 gram. An additional number is added if the yarn is twisted from several single yarns, for example Nm 100/3 for a twisted yarn made from three single yarns.

Staining of light-coloured clothing, furniture and other objects is possible.
