A nice little gadget, light and easy to use. You grip in the middle with one hand and pull one of the stainless steel loop-shaped ends (broader or narrower depending on conditions) through the ground – ideal for weeding or for loosening the soil. The rounded ends ensure that delicate seedlings can’t be damaged, and you can work really close to the rows of young plants in places where the blades of conventional hoes or weeders would do harm – in other words, where you’d normally have to use your bare hands.
