Versatile Light Waffle Piqué Blanket.
The alternative to the sheet of no bedding, when the nights are particularly warm: the Waffle Piqué Summer Blanket. It is also suitable as a light blanket for air and sunbathing, and, on summer evenings on the terrace, is a very pleasant alternative to a pullover. Waffle piqué is especially suitable for a summerly climatic interplay because the honeycomb-like structure of the fabric forms little pockets of air that make the fabric feel light on the skin.
From the Waldviertel in Austria.
From the Waldviertel (i. e. Forest Quarter), a northwestern region of the Austrian state of Lower Austria, comes this waffle piqué summer blanket. The region is known as a traditional textile region. The blanket is made for us by Framsohn, a firm where nothing much has changed since its founding in 1908: all technical preparations, dyeing, weaving and article manufacture are still under one roof.

100% cotton. Fabric weight 240 gsm. Yarn count in warp and weft Nm 20, edged all around with a cotton bias tape. Shrinkage approx. 6% (already taken into account in the cut). Made in Austria. Color white. 140 × 220 cm. Weight 700 g.
