    General Information

    Simple technique. Complex result

With stimulating ease, your offspring learns herewith the dexterity, all around, row after row to lay and link stitches. Hand-flattering warm lies the cleanly polished beech wood thereby in the hand; with the enclosed crochet hook made of bamboo, the yarn can be easily grasped and guided over the stitch pins. The size of the Strickrum is specially designed for children's hands and can - if you should also itch in the fingers - also be handled very well by adults. Most importantly, the Strickrum has six pins instead of the four of a standard knitting dolly. As a result, the knitted tube that snakes out of here turns out a bit larger in diameter and is ideal for wrapping or coiling both small and large things: pens and bicycles, doorknobs and streetlights, cables and trees and napkins and toes and ears and ... yikes! And whatever else you and your child can think of that can be elevated to a small or large colorful work of art.

Every beginning is made easy. Child's play even

One right, one left, drop one - with effective starting aids such as knitting rumm, knot star and knitting board, this age-old joke is finally a thing of the past. Where untrained fingers like to slip the yarn off the needle, where stitches want to unravel again or where we have lashed them together so tightly that we feel we will never get them off the needle again, these little helpers step in and introduce your offspring to the world of needlework with their first successes. A playful exercise in concentration and patience and perfect to promote cognitive development at the same time.

Moving fingers, moving brain. All interconnected

Because what is knitting and crocheting, embroidery, knotting and weaving all about? It's about networking yarns together to form a knit or woven fabric. And what is learning about? It's about networking the synapses in the brain so that information can be stored, retrieved and combined into new knowledge quickly. As we learn complex movement sequences, our synapses also network to form complex structures. For our children, handwork is therefore an effective exercise to train cognitive dexterity at the same time as fine motor dexterity. Moving fingers, moving brain, it is aptly said. With results to be proud of: my first self-knotted friendship bracelet, my first self-knitted scarf, my first self-solved world formula! Oops, well, maybe not the world formula. But another step into this colorful, exciting, challenging adventure called life succeeds your child with it in any case.
