General Information
For its high-quality clay deposits, the Westerwald is world famous. We source our stock pots for the kitchen from a local pottery. The family business in Ransbach-Baumbach now looks back on more than 150 years of tradition in its craft. And may the shapes of the pots also be well-known and time-tested - the shiny shimmering, bright green tone in the glaze you will find only in our designs.
Molded from Westerwald clay. With wooden lid
These clay pots preserve dry foods such as rice, pasta, muesli, nuts, cereal flakes ... Their perfectly fitting lids made of oak wood close air- and aroma-tight thanks to a sealing ring made of natural rubber. This preserves the quality and flavor of your supplies (and keeps out moisture and unpleasant odors). Turned from the famous Westerwald clay, the storage jars are first dried for a long time and then reworked, glazed and fired smooth in an open fire at about 1,250°C. You will also be familiar with the unmistakable glaze color from some of the other storage jars in our kitchen range, for example our bread pot made of Westerwald clay - the manufacturing pottery in Ransbach-Baumbach has reserved this color shade only for Manufactum.
