The special fold-cutting technique, in which a sheet of paper folded several times is cut to size, has been passed down from generation to generation for these stars. To this day, the paper-cut stars are made entirely by hand: fold by fold, cut by cut, pattern row by pattern row and with astonishing meticulousness - yet each star is ultimately unique. Usually working independently, the manufacturer has developed various patterns especially for us, according to which she produces the stars. In this case, drei Sterne are uniformly sized but with different patterns combined into one set. The ends are accurately glued and sewn together, and each star is finished with a fine layer of colored varnish to give it additional strength. And filigree as they are, the silhouette stars not only brighten up the Christmas tree immensely, but can also decorate windows, doors and walls just as effectively as solitaires.
