These nail clippers come from the Japanese cutlery manufacturer Seki. Thanks to their compact size and ergonomic shape, the nail clippers sit comfortably in the hand and are also suitable for small hands or for the travel bag. The sharp cutting edges ensure clean cuts, but depending on the nail hardness, it is still advisable to finish with a file. As preparation, you can soak your nails before shortening them, or use the nail cutter directly after showering. This makes pedicures easy, even on harder nails, and avoids micro-injuries. The small model is also ideal for teaching children how to care for their nails. The nail clippers should be cleaned regularly, for example with a nail brush; the acid-resistant steel can be disinfected with commercially available products.

Made in Japan. Cutlery and manicure instruments from Seki

There is no need to emphasize that Japan knows how to produce extremely sharp knives and cutting tools of all kinds. However, many people are not necessarily aware that the country of Damascus steel knives and samurai swords also traditionally produces excellent manicure instruments and scissors. A stronghold of cutlery production is the city of Seki in the Gifu region, which has been the center of samurai sword production since the 14th century. To this day, traditional companies such as Faether, Kai Scissors and many well-known knife manufacturers continue to produce extremely sharp, edge-holding blades using traditional craftsmanship. Seki Edge specializes in cutlery for personal hygiene and has made a name for itself beyond Japan's borders since its beginnings in the mid-20th century. Double-hardened stainless steel, the utmost care in the individual production steps, some of which are still carried out by hand, and the experience of the master blacksmiths guarantee the high quality, sharpness, edge retention and durability of the cutlery.
