General Information
White beech wood or ironwood is a very hard, dense and therefore insensitive wood, which is still occasionally used today in the manufacture of hand tools. Accordingly, hornbeam wood handles are rare in kitchen utensils - and this spatula you get so only with us.
Classic kitchen utensil.
A spatula whose blade has a slightly curved shape to make it easier to handle even in pans with raised edges. It is generously slotted so that any frying liquid can drip off easily - and the food has less surface to stick to.
But it's not just the shape that's traditional with this spatula, the materials used are too: Stainless steel and untreated hornbeam wood replace the plastic that has long been common for such simple kitchen utensils. The blade is punched from the material and sanded on the front, the handle is sawn from the wood, sanded and carefully riveted.
With hornbeam handle you get this spatula only from us. The knotty wood of hornbeam is a very dense and hard wood and is still often used today in the manufacture of hand tools - there it also bears the name ironwood.
