Spark protection made of glass and steel
If you operate an open fireplace or a stove with an open door, this ensures that sparks escaping from the firebox do not fly unhindered into the room. At the same time, a clear view of the flames is maintained. The glass pane of material thickness 4 mm is made of toughened safety glass (ESG), a glass that has proven itself for decades in automotive engineering. The base is made of folded blue steel. This spark protection you get only with us.

The following indoor fireplace accessories are made of blue steel in Germany. Blue steel is the name given to a hot-rolled flat steel, the surface of which has turned bluish-black due to the rolling process. It is not rustproof and only conditionally protected against corrosion, but through occasional waxing or oiling the surface is permanently preserved.

Fireplace accessory made of blue steel.
This fireplace accessory for use indoors is made in Germany from blue steel. That’s hot-rolled flat steel, whose surface takes on a blue-black color from the hot-rolling. It is not rust-free and only partially corrosion resistant. With an occasional treatment with wax or oil the surface can be quite nicely maintained.
Glass and Steel Spark Arrestor
This spark arrestor is useful if you have an open fireplace or a Firetube oven with a sliding door. It prevents sparks emitted from the firebox from flying into the room, without obstructing the view of the fire inside. Which is not possible with a spark arresting grating. The glass is made of a single plate of safety glass (ESG, 4 mm thick) that will withstand temperatures up to 270 °C. It’s a glass which has been used for decades in automobiles: On impact it disintegrates into many small pieces without sharp edges. The foot is made of bent blue steel. This spark arrestor is only available from us.
