Sneeboer root cutter stainless steel

Back again! We had this root pruner from Sneeboer in the Netherlands in our range for a long time: shaped like a shovel, but with such a long blade that even deep roots can be fully grasped and pricked out. We are pleased to offer this model again in an improved version. The blade, forged from stainless steel, is also fitted with a short handle to which the ash wood handle is firmly attached. This means that the useful tool even has an extended reach and can be plunged even deeper into the ground. Tip: You can also use it as a flower bulb planter or when planting young plants to prick out planting holes. It is particularly effective in densely planted beds.

For over 100 years, the family of West Frisian blacksmith Jaap Sneeboer has been supplying their Dutch fellow citizens, who are known to be constantly busy with farming, dyke construction and horticulture, with the tools they need. Sneeboer uses two different stainless steels for his traditional Frisian horticultural tools in stainless steel: a higher-alloyed, tougher one for the springs and spouts of the handle holder and a lower-alloyed, more forgeable one for the actual functional parts. The individual structural elements are welded together and then ground and polished. All operations are carried out by hand.
