Snail ring copper

General Information
Copper borders.
Some say that slugs and snails get an electric shock when they touch copper. This may or may not be true: but one thing has been proven, that copper, when it comes into contact with the creatures’ natural body slime, sets off an unpleasant reaction (due to oxidization) that deters them from trying to crawl over the copper.
Modest, but effective.
These rings – you can place them in a plot of vegetables or in beds of perennials around the newly planted or the fresh growth – come with a simple, precise form without any special profile. What’s paramount here is the material: pure copper. Wait for just a few days after setting the rings up and then see if snail eggs still appear inside of the copper borders.
Copper Boundaries
That snails get an electric shock when they come into contact with copper is a theory that is as widely held as it is unproven. What is considered certain, however, is that the slime produced by the snails, when combined with copper, causes a chemical reaction that damages the animals' mucous membranes through oxidation processes - ultimately preventing the animals from crawling over a copper strip. We offer repellents that owe their effect to a proportion of pure copper - they are suitable for beds and pots.
