The glass capillary is set in a solid, V-shaped aluminium housing with a polished, gold coloured anodised surface. The numerals of the measurement zone are printed indelibly in black into the anodised layer on the right-hand scale. The housing can be turned by hand to any position due to the fact it is rotatably mounted on the wall bracket.
