Table with storage compartment: COMODO is a versatile piece of furniture designed by Achille Castiglioni and Giancarlo Pozzi. A metal rod, mounted on sturdy steel legs, supports a small wooden box mounted off-center, which opens with the help of a scissor hinge. This elegant multi-purpose unit can be used as a bedside table, tray table, coffee table or simply as a storage box for all your favorites. Reportedly Castiglioni, a big fan of sweets, used his own COMODO to store candy.

The architect and designer Achille Castiglioni and his brothers Pier Giacomo and Livio are among the driving forces and great innovators of Italian design in the 20th century. The style of the three brothers varies between simple practicality and organic opulence. Design objects that use industrially manufactured components in surprising new contexts in the tradition of ready-mades became a particular trademark of the Castiglionis.
