An Oak Shoe Tray for Garden and Work Shoes.
The rails of this sturdy shoe tray have sharp edges so that the dirt, small pieces of stone and mud clinging to the soles can be scraped off. The solid, dampness resistant oak construction has been assembled with water-proof glue and stainless steel screws. The untreated oak will grey with age.
A reminder:
Be aware that oak contains tannic acid which can cause discolorations. We recommend bearing this in mind in the selection of the location for the tray, especially on more sensitive surfaces.
Note:
Due to the high tannic acid content of oak wood, blue-black discoloration can occur on the wood surface in combination with moisture and in contact with ferrous metals. In addition, the so-called tannins can be washed out by rainwater and stain surfaces and adjacent materials.
