Alternative oak wood - for garden and work shoes
The tread strips of this sturdy shoe rack have sharp edges so that any soil, stones, mud or snow adhering to the soles are conveniently caught in them. The wooden construction made of solid, moisture-resistant oak is durable thanks to its waterproof gluing and additional concealed stainless steel screws. However, the untreated material will turn gray over the years.
Note:
Due to the high tannic acid content of oak wood, blue-black discoloration can occur on the wood surface in combination with moisture and in contact with ferrous metals. In addition, the so-called tannins can be washed out by rainwater and stain surfaces and adjacent materials.
