    General Information

Mowing the lawn.<br /> One way or another.

This tool provides (at least) two options for perfect lawn care.
The first: Supposing you have such a large lawn that mowing the grass with a manual mower or even an electric one is far too arduous. The purchase of a small flock of sheep to keep the grass down would be the perfect solution; your only remaining task would be to shear the sheep occasionally. In which case these sharp shears would be ideal: they are, in fact, sold as sheep shears throughout the world by their manufacturer.
The second: supposing the dimensions of your lawn are more conventional, and having your own flock of sheep is not your idea of spare time entertainment. We would again recommend these shears as they are perfect for cutting grass and edging lawns; they are particularly good for shaping shrubs, such as box or yew. This handy tool, with independently sprung, hollow ground blades guarantees a simple, clean cut without crushing or jamming. (However, we still recommend the first option for insomniacs.)

Cutting Tools. For a good cut: how to choose the right model

For the selection of the right garden shears is first to answer the question, what should be cut. Our scissors differ in material, size, weight and equipment, so that each has a specific area of responsibility. Basically, we distinguish between two types of scissors: In bypass shears, two blades slide past each other, leaving a clean, smooth interface; in anvil shears, on the other hand, a sharp blade meets the stationary anvil. Bypass shears are particularly suitable for precise cuts requiring little force on thinner pruning material - such as roses, shrubs or perennials - while anvil shears can be used to make powerful cuts on stronger branches; they are thus particularly suitable for pruning woody plants. In our range you will then find, for example, specialists for topiary or thinning, for a particularly hand-friendly operation or an extra strong cut for particularly thick branches.
