Serrinha, whole bean

The beans for Serrinha come from the Cerrado Mineiro region in south-eastern Brazil. Cerrado Mineiro produces some of the best coffees in the country. This is not least due to the mineral-rich soils and the favorable climate: temperatures are relatively high all year round, while rainfall is highest from November to March. Man versus Machine uses Red Catuai coffee beans from José Maria de Oliveira's farm for the Serrinha. Serrinha is characterized by a full-bodied taste, balanced acidity and an intense aroma. It presents sweet nuances and flavors of milk chocolate and dried fruit.

Based in Munich's Glockenbach district, the coffee manufacturer "Man versus Machine" was founded in 2014. Since then, the dedicated company has made a name for itself far beyond the city limits. No wonder, because the top priority is the quality of the selected coffees. Man versus Machine" works closely with personally selected coffee farmers all over the world. Only Arabica coffee beans are processed, which are roasted in small batches to ensure that each coffee can develop its full aroma. We offer the coffees from "Man versus Machine" as whole beans and have selected varieties that are equally suitable for preparation as filter coffee and espresso. And if you are ever in Munich: "Man versus Machine" also runs its own coffee bar, where you can experience the art of coffee preparation on site and sample the different types of coffee. By the way: all coffees from "Man versus Machine" can call themselves "specialty coffees". This distinction is awarded at professional cuppings (tastings), where certified coffee tasters, so-called Q-graders, evaluate the coffees visually and sensorially. Coffees with 80 or more points on a 100-point scale can call themselves "Specialty Coffee".
