    General Information

Pointed and long. Scalpel blade No. 24

blade for the Bayha scalpel system. The scalpel blade No. 24 with its pointed, long shape is particularly suitable for straight cuts in cardboard and paperboard, but also for fine woodwork or for removing varnish or other coating from flat surfaces.

For blade replacement, the carbon steel blades can always be grasped at the base, the sharp area does not need contact with the fingers, which significantly reduces the risk of injury compared with other scalpel systems. The beak shape of the blades allows very safe handling.
Of course, we do not recommend these instruments for small surgical self-care, but for all fine cutting work and for pencil sharpening.

Secret Tip. Not only for graphic designers: Bayha scalpels

These are not hobbyist knives, but real and true surgeon scalpels, made in southern Germany for surgical precision work. Their classic shape reveals that they were not designed yesterday. Our manufacturer was a founding member of the Free Guild of Surgical Mechanics, and his program has remained remarkably streamlined to this day: He only makes scalpels - and has been doing so since 1925.
Worthy of a mention: the sophisticated blade retention system of the stainless steel handles. A latch system ensures a firm blade fit, allows easy and safe replacement and makes the scalpels become real "multifunction knives".

    Product Information

    Article Number 70956

Pointed and long: for straight cuts in carton and cardboard, fine woodwork or to remove varnish or other coatings from even surfaces.
      Carbon steel. Without handle.

Convenient to hold and easy to exchange.
To exchange the blades you can hold the carbon steel blades at their base and do not have to touch the sharp area of the blade with your fingers. This is why the risk of injuries is substantially reduced compared with other scalpel systems. Due to their bill hook form the blades allow a completely safe operation.

Of course, we do not recommend these instruments for unqualified minor surgical purposes, but for all precise cutting work and sharpening pencils.
