From France. Rotating soap.
The manufacturer named his product »Savon rotatif«; it was patented in 1950 and used widely in the »lavoirs« of the schools, other public buildings, and by France's state-run railways. The soap, furnished with a drilled hole (making it easily replaceable), hangs securely and freely turns on an angled axis, and this offers a few advantages: first, it is much quicker and easier to wash dirty hands, and, second, the soap dries off quickly and over the entire surface. The brass appliance is robust and non-corrosive enough to also be used in the garden. The manufacturer claims you can wash your hands up to 1,000 times with a 300 g bar of this soap. And, of course, the smell of its simple lemon oil cannot be compared with our Bronnleylemon soap. The soap holder comes with lemon oil soap for everyday use.
