This sturdy bag made of strong, vegetable-tanned cowhide can be attached to both the saddle and the handlebar. The simple form of the saddlebag owes itself to the puristic design as well as the construction: for the body a large piece of leather is used, in which the side parts are let in and open-edged sewn. In product development, it is not an isolated case that a design is born out of a feeling of lack. This was also the case for Londoner Catherine Ellis, who has always been a passionate cyclist, when she searched in vain for a bicycle bag that was as functional as it was aesthetically convincing: solid and durable, comfortable on the bike and even off the bike with that discreet chic that makes for a stylish appearance at a meeting or in a café. As a graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Ellis then designed a bag that met her high standards - as well as those of commuters and leisure cyclists. In 2012, she founded the company Hill & Ellis, which quickly established itself and attracted lasting attention even in the fast-changing world of style and fashion. The reasons for this are obvious - or rather: in your hand, because every bag at Hill & Ellis is cut and sewn, stamped and riveted by hand. The craftsmanship is based on extensive European know-how: selected leathers from Italy, Scotland and the Netherlands, luggage carrier clips designed in Germany and fasteners and rivets plated in Northampton are processed in the London workshop. As meticulous as the craftsmanship is, every detail of the design has been thought through to ensure that the bags can be used as bike, business and leisure accessories alike. And thanks to their high-quality materials and production, they will continue to fulfill their function in style for a very long time.

Please note that the bag is unlined, so the velour on the inside may initially give off fluff or rub off, as with other leathers. The dark colour on the outside may rub off on light coloured clothing.
