Round oak dining table

You don't even have to want to negotiate a round table to be convinced by the function, materiality and aesthetics of this solid oak table. Its dimensions are tailored to the smaller (one-person) household, yet it also offers space for one or two guests to sit down with you at the weighty piece with sufficient elbow room. The table top consists of two-centimeter-thick, continuous slats - a flat steel strip embedded underneath reliably ensures its dimensional stability. The design of the table base is just as clever, with three oak elements held together by precisely fitted, three-armed stainless steel fittings and attached to the table top. And if you are not using the table at the moment, the natural grain of the oak wood, which is accentuated by the treatment with a nourishing oil, comes into its own.

The table is delivered to you disassembled and is easy to assemble, even for inexperienced users, and above all: it is assembled using machine screws and threaded sleeves. This connection is extremely stable and can be loosened and re-screwed as often as required without chipping or losing its accuracy of fit.

Form & Refine is a Danish design label founded in 2018 by Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen and Lasse Lund Lauridsen. It exemplarily follows the Scandinavian design tradition and continues it at the same time. A central point is the harmonious combination of aesthetics, function and material. The designs are clear and restrained, function leads to form and the pure materials, which are allowed to retain their original visual details and forms, are processed with perfect craftsmanship. This is always done in the countries of origin of the materials, which shortens transport distances and at the same time supports the local craft culture.
