These room fragrances of Dr. Horn Labs are offered in a diffuser set: with a small apothecary bottle, into which the respective room fragrance is filled, and five rattan sticks. Natural essential oils are dissolved in a carrier liquid containing alcohol and spread their pleasant fragrance evenly, slowly and thus over a longer period of time due to the slow evaporation of the alcohol via rattan sticks. The intensity can be regulated by the number of rattan sticks: the more sticks, the more intense the scent.

For the start-up, fill 40 ml of the fragrance mixture into the apothecary bottle. The contents of the bottle will then make five fills, which is enough for three to six months of pleasant room scenting, depending on the size of the room, desired scent intensity and environmental conditions such as temperature or humidity. The rattan sticks must first soak up the scent mixture, so it may take a while for the scent to spread. For a quick scenting, simply turn the sticks once after dipping. And if the room fragrance is used up, you will of course find everything to refill with us.

The name already refers to the laboratory work: In the Dr. Horn Labs, chemical apparatus and vessels are used for distillation, maceration, purification and separation. The distillates and essential oils, which are carefully extracted by hand, are analyzed for their composition and assigned to the various quality standards. Whereby one can assume here that only the best come through, because the head of the laboratory, a pharmacist and doctor of natural sciences, makes no compromises when it comes to quality. Konrad Horn has been proving this at Deutsche Spirituosen Manufaktur since 2017: In the Berlin distillery, he is responsible for the selection of raw materials, the development of new recipes and for quality assurance. With Dr. Horn Labs, he has in a sense created a (free) space for himself to combine his passion for fragrances with knowledge of plant ingredients and scientific-technical know-how.

In addition to the chemical nature of plant ingredients, the pharmacist is particularly interested in the beneficial effects they can produce in humans. Aromatherapy, for example, makes particular use of the effective power and wide range of applications of essential oils, which also form the basis for the fragrance compositions of Dr. Horn Labs. The same high standards apply to the production as to the spirits manufactory: Konrad Horn dispenses entirely with synthetic chemical ingredients and concentrates instead on the careful selection of essential oils and the harmonious composition of the fragrance creations. The interaction of the individual components in the sense of an amplification or also softening of odor nuances has the highest priority in the development. The result is unique room fragrances that you can use as a balancing or invigorating composition, depending on the mood or occasion.
