Road running shoe

The "Roadrunner" was developed for running on paved paths and roads. It was created in 1970 in collaboration with New Zealand’s runner and long-distance running coach Arthur Lydiard. The shoe has a normal width and is primarily suitable for harder surfaces. The shoe is made on the original Brütting last and has a pronounced anatomical shape with a ball heel and indicated orthopedic joint support. This is also reflected in the shape of the footbed. The shock-absorbing sole is constructed in three layers: It consists of an abrasion-resistant rubber outsole, the wedge and a continuous midsole made of cellular rubber. The sole edge and the rear cap are reinforced with rubber, over the toe area you find an additional leather cap.

Brütting sports shoes, produced since the end of the 1960s, enjoy cult status among connoisseurs and competitive athletes. The model series was developed in close co-operation between the Nuremberg shoemaker Eugen Brütting and several coaches and athletes. The shoes are still "handmade in Germany". Since we have Brütting leather running shoes in our range, we are told that this is an attack on the joints of our unsuspecting customers. These shoes would not go along with the progress in the development of the gel soles. We hold ourselves back in the assessment and leave it to you, whether you actually use these shoes for training or rather just for après sports. Be assured, unlike other models, they make a good figure almost everywhere.

The shoes are constructed on a crescent-shaped last. A soft border lining surrounds the heel and the sole‘s edge and back are strengthened with rubber. The sole structure is produced in keeping with a conservative, traditional shoemaking method, the three-layer structure, with a hard-wearing rubber running sole, wedge and front-to-back middle sole made of cellular rubber, and the chrome-tanned leather insole provide a medium-hard step.
