Riess flute kettle enamel

Produced by Riess in Ybbsitz - the enameled flute kettle in its time-honored shape, approximately reminiscent of the shape of a hemisphere. The ratio between compact volume and large footprint is such that very little heat radiates when the contents are heated - when used on a gas or induction stove, the flute kettle consumes less energy than an electric kettle. It indicates that the water is boiling with an audible signal that can be heard from afar. The kettle is enameled inside and out and, thanks to the scratch-resistant and acid-resistant surfaces, is easy to clean; when descaling is necessary can be easily seen on the blue surface inside.

Our kettles have a very traditional shape for good reason: they have to heat large quantities of water quickly and energy-efficiently. This means for their body shape: little upper surface, but a large base area, because over the bottom surface (as desired) the heat flows in, but over the surface it (undesirably) radiates out again. Otherwise: high-set spout, so that the bubbling water can not splash out, and a firm handle on which the kettle can be held securely.
