The artist and designer Nathalie Du Pasquier moves effortlessly on the border between art and architecture. Her artistic language is characterized by her interest in geometry, variations and systems. She takes simple structures and combines them into complex constructions. Nathalie du Pasquier was a founding member of the Memphis Group, the Milanese design and architecture collective known for a decade for its "form follows fun" ethos. She designed furniture, textiles, jewelry and carpets for international design companies and thus brought her view of things to numerous areas of design before turning to her passion: drawing, painting and sculpting. Initially figurative, her work gradually developed into pure abstraction.
