Then you'll be pleased to know that the head can be decalcified occasionally, just as its fine nozzles can be easily cleaned should they ever become clogged with leaves, needles or pollen. Treat this watering attachment simply as the shower head of your shower: unscrew, put in a bowl or bucket of water and citric acid (or descaler), dry - done.
