General Information
Good things that are actually reserved for professionals usually prove just as good in private households. Our baking gloves, for example, are normally only available from bakeries - and from us. The same manufacturer, a specialist in heat protection, also makes potholders from the same material especially for us; both are available in black exclusively from Manufactum.
Large, strong, black. Cotton oven mitts
Like our cotton oven mitts, these potholders are made of a double-layered, sturdy cotton fabric with terry loops on both sides. Thanks to the double-layered processing and the air cushion in between, the oven mitts insulate very well and protect when coming into contact with baking and grilling utensils that are up to 250 °C hot. In case you are wondering about the cheerful black color: We deliberately chose that because potholders do show the traces of passionate cooking quite quickly - but on the dark fabric they are not so obvious. So you can take your time until the next wash, because not everyone has a whole pile of potholders lying next to the stove to help themselves to every day. Our potholders are made in Germany - in a company that is a professional when it comes to heat protection.
