Poncho lambswool

Originally widespread in Mexico and South America in particular, the poncho has long enjoyed great popularity here too, thanks above all to its comfort. We offer a poncho made from the wool of Mongolian lambs, which is not only warm, but almost softer to the touch than cashmere. The southern German manufacturer, a fully integrated operation with carded yarn spinning, weaving and finishing under one roof, first weaves a plaid in a twill weave from the unbleached and undyed lamb's hair. This is then mechanically roughened in the traditional way on space machines equipped with natural thistles, creating a voluminous, fine and thermally insulating soft surface. Finally, the poncho is given an incision that is carefully hemmed. Strictly speaking, this incision turns the poncho into a ruana - at least in South America, where this small but subtle linguistic distinction is made between the closed and the open form.
