Even the most miniature Maglia umbrellas come with sturdy steel ribs. This onefold umbrella is easy to open while folding down into a manageable size when closed. The handle of this model features a calfskin cover, accurately and decoratively sewn with twine in a contrasting colour. You find a very durable cross-stitch seam at the inside of the handle and two moccasin seams at the outer sides. The canopy, made of a fine densely woven polyester fabric, features a classic Glencheck pattern.

The Milanese umbrella maker family Maglia, currently in its sixth generation, has been producing handcrafted umbrellas of the highest quality since 1854 – and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide to this day. The family’s passion, craftsmanship and highest quality demands contribute to this continuous success. No wonder, then, that producing one Maglia umbrella requires more than 70 operations. The Maglias have their umbrellas’ solid ribs made of steel, the handles made of precious wood or rattan. When they have the handles covered with leather, needless to say, this is done by hand as well. They choose durable fabrics for the canopies and source them from Italian weaving mills. To this day, the entire production takes place in Italy.
